Yet among them all the wolf was by far the smartest and the wisest, so the goddess blessed the alpha of the largest pack with not only the ability to talk but to turn into man and live an immortal life to tell all his kind about her. When the chief of the nearby village found out about this, he prayed to the goddess to talk this ability away scared it might bring harm to his village.
